Quantification of Small-Scale Heterogeneity at the Core–Mantle Boundary Using Sample Entropy of SKS and SPdKS Synthetic Waveforms

چکیده
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of seismic waveforms sensitive to the core–mantle boundary (CMB) region reveal presence ultralow-velocity zones (ULVZs) that have a strong decrease in compressional (P) shear (S) wave velocity, an increase density within thin structures. However, understanding their physical origin relation other large-scale structures lowermost mantle are limited due incomplete mapping ULVZs at CMB. The SKS SPdKS is routinely used infer ULVZ presence, but has thus far only been epicentral distance range. As SKS/SPdKS wavefield interacts with it generates additional arrivals, increasing complexity recorded wavefield. Here, we explore utilization multi-scale sample entropy method search for We investigate feasibility this approach through synthetic seismograms computed PREM, 1-, 2.5-, 3-D as well heterogeneous velocity 1- 2.5-D. find technique may be useful across wide range distances from 100° 130°. Such analysis, when applied real waveforms, could provide coverage roughly 85% by surface area

15 صفحه اولheterogeneity within the orientalist discourse: representation of the orient in womens travelogues and mens paintings
from 1950s onward, new theories and critical approaches burgeoned across humanities. these theories were context-oriented; as a result, the analysis of discursive practices gained significance. thus, social, political, historical and cultural discourses that have been hitherto marginalized and considered inferior to literary texts, were introduced as important texts to be analyzed by critics. o...
assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
the use of appropriate madm model for ranking the vendors of mci equipments using fuzzy approach
abstract nowadays, the science of decision making has been paid to more attention due to the complexity of the problems of suppliers selection. as known, one of the efficient tools in economic and human resources development is the extension of communication networks in developing countries. so, the proper selection of suppliers of tc equipments is of concern very much. in this study, a ...
